Barbara Biasi

Barbara Biasi is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Yale University School of Management. She is also a Faculty Research Fellow at NBER and a Research Affiliate at CEPR, IZA, and CESifo. An economist by training, she conducts research in the areas of labor and public economics, with a focus on education. Most of her work focuses on understanding how to allocate scarce resources across schools and students to guarantee high-quality education to all students. Some of her recent research has investigated the impact of changes in teachers’ compensation (salaries and pensions) on teachers’ labor markets, the causes and consequences of spending differences across schools, and differences in the content of education across and within institutions.
